35mm film Wedding | An English Garden Wedding | Lily & Joe

I had the upmost pleasure of shooting the beautiful and extremely brave Lily & Joes wedding set in Lilly’s grandparents back gardens.

Unfortunately Lily passed away on Dec 27th through an aggressive form of cancer – she was 22 and Lily & Joe have been childhood sweethearts since they was 14 and met at high school, she was head girl and he was the captain of the rugby team.

She had rhabdomyosarcoma a rare but aggressive cancer which only affects 1 in a million people. She was diagnosed just aged 20.

Lily and Joes story is the most beautiful story, they are two of the bravest most incredible souls I’ve ever met, the love they have for each other is absolutely beautiful and that love radiates throughout all their friends and families who threw one crazy amazing party.

Joe, Your an incredible human destined for great things in life, Lily will always be with you looking down always watching over with her beautiful proud angelic face.

In the words of her Aunt Karin: We are all heartbroken but relieved that she’s no longer suffering and is now at peace. She was an amazing young lady who fought every day to achieve all her dreams and to pursue love & happiness despite being terminally ill. We are really proud of her and hope my children can learn from her example. It’s a truth that love rules everything in the end and nothing else matters.

Lily will remain in our hearts forever.

Now people ask me, do I ever get bored of shooting weddings, ‘absolutely not’ is always my answer, why, because it’s a honour and an absolute privilege to be let into lives like Lily’s and Joes and tell the most amazing wedding stories no matter what the circumstances.

LOVE RULES!!
